BEP’s existing command center and supporting IT room could no longer support the needs of the facility without expansion. The only possibility for additional space was to reconfigure the existing staff flow between production, campus police, and employee support spaces. This work would involve altering existing secure check points and extension of the hardened enclosure while remaining operational throughout. A highly coordinated phased approach was devised to meet BEP’s goals.
